what is verification and validation ?

Validation- Are we building the Right Product?
Process of evaluating software at the end of its development to ensure that it is free from failures & complies with the requirements.
Verification - Are we building the product Right?
its the process of determining whether or not the products of a given phase of software development fulfill the requirements establised during the previous phase.

Difference between verification and validation?
  Validation:
 1. It is ensures the functionality.
2. It is conducted by development team with the help from QC team.
3. Validation is Truth.
4. Validation is the following process of verification.
5. Are we producing the right product?
Verification:
 1. It is a Quality improvement process.
2. It is involve with the reviewing and evaluating the process.
3. It is conducted by QA team.
4. Verification is Correctness.
5. Are we producing the product right?

verification vs.validation

Verification takes place before validation, and not the same (not vice versa). Verification evaluates documents, plans, code, requirements, and specifications. Validation, on the other hand, evaluates the product itself.
Validation: Part functional requirements have not been negatively impacted.
Verification: Part characteristics have not been negatively impacted (dimensional).
Implemented: Can't be implemented until the first two have been satisfied.

Verification and validation of

Verification and validation are terms that are often used in software. However, it is important to understand the difference between these two distinct but complementary activities. Software verification provides objective evidence that the design outputs of a particular phase of the software development life cycle meet all of the specified requirements for that phase by checking for consistency, completeness, and correctness of the software and its supporting documentation. Validation, on the other hand, is the confirmation by examination and provision of objective evidence that software specifications conform to user needs and intended uses, and that the particular requirements implemented through software can be consistently fulfilled.
